I don't do awkward posing.
I don't make you hang around in a plain white studio with lights and props.
Instead, I meet your family at a beautiful location - it could be somewhere that is already meaningful for your family or somewhere new for you to explore. We will go for a walk and I capture authentic moments of your family interacting and spending quality time together.
I adore working with families who love one another, getting out and about, exploring, enjoying and making memories.

Whats the 'damage'?
Prices are as simple as possible, and are detailed below. Any questions please just ask! I take a £100 deposit to secure your date.
What type of photographer are you?
I am a lifestyle photographer, meaning that I want to take authentic + relaxed images telling the story of your family. I'm not there to create forced and uncomfortable poses where people are unnatural or stiff looking. I may give you some prompts to go to some pretty light or could suggest an activity to engage the children but that's it.
What if the kids don't behave?
Honestly, please do not worry about this! I am a mum myself and I get it. I have had years of working with children of all ages, even from before I was a photographer. We can keep them engaged by changing up our location, games, exploring, snacks if need be! There are lots of strategies and I am not worried at all.
How many images do we get to choose from?
Typically 70+ although it does vary hugely!
Do you use props?
I don't, other than a blanket for everyone to sit on - feel free to bring along a favourite if you have one.
Do you travel?
I am based just outside Edinburgh and normally shoot in and around Edinburgh and the Lothian's for family sessions. If you're looking for something further afield, there may be an additional charge, get in touch and we can discuss options!
Can we buy prints of our images?
Once you have received your online gallery I am happy to help you, or your friends + family with ordering prints.
Can we print the images ourselves?
No problem! With all digital downloads purchased you have full rights to print your images for personal use.
Where does the shoot take place?
We can discuss this together. I have lots of suggestions of amazing locations from previous family sessions, as well as living in and exploring Edinburgh + East Lothian for the last 15 years.
What if the weather is wet?
Then we might reschedule, we might pull on our wellies and enjoy splashing in some puddles, or we might try out an alternate location.
What is someone is ill?
We can reschedule - its not a problem at all.
What happens after the shoot?
I look carefully at each and every image, selecting the very best for your gallery. These are then individually edited to create the finished product and uploaded to a secure online gallery within three weeks of your session. It will stay active for viewing and downloading for 7 days. Please remember to back up your files. This gallery can easily be shared with friends + family.
How do we book?
To secure your booking I take a deposit of £100 and require a completed booking form with some basic details like names, contact info, etc.
